Barry Scovel has 3 decades experience successfully growing B2B and B2C technology sales at myriad different organizations. He was a partner and key individual in starting, growing, and engineering the sale of the nation’s largest consumer electronics distribution company to technology giant Ingram Micro.

Mr Scovel achieved success by growing long lasting relationships with owners and principals of hundreds of different CE dealers, custom installation firms, consultants, and many of the consumer electronics’ industry’s most notable figures. In short, he knows exactly what it takes to help build your business, especially in the technology arena.

Barry learned the business from the ground up, starting his career in the trenches at the retail level at a high end audio store during college. He made good use of those early lessons, in time touching all facets of the consumer electronics industry, including custom installation and a very successful tenure as a manufacture’s representative for some of the industry’s most respected brands.

His lengthy and varied experience, a hard-earned reputation throughout the CE industry as a person of honesty and integrity, and his track record of success at the consumer electronics industry’s highest levels make Mr.Scovel an indispensable member of the WELD executive team..

Frank White

Frank White is a true industry luminary; a pioneer who is well known throughout the custom electronics installation world. Mr White’s depth and breadth of experience is nearly unparalleled in the industry, and extends to the highest levels.

Mr. White’s career began in the banking industry where he drove a small, independent bank to become the premier financial institution for many small and mid size medical practices in Orange County, CA.

Frank served as a founder and principal of Multiplex Technology Inc. a venture-based cable TV hardware start up successfully sold in 1998. Their equipment became an industry standard, with industry affecting design and manufacturing processes.

The next two years saw Mr. White as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at AMX, a leading technology control systems supplier, driving sales from US$45m to $110m.

In 1989 Frank co-founded CEDIA, the custom installation industry’s largest trade organization, served as it’s president, and on boards and committees for other leading industry associations, including the Consumer Electronics Association, the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association, the Private Cable Television Industry Association, and the Security Industry Association.

Frank was instrumental in driving CEDIA’s well respected education and certification programs, including helping develop the curricula and exams. A dynamic speaker, he has been highly sought after as an educator on the organization’s training circuit, delivering engaging seminars and workshops in many disciplines.

Our Team Stig has over 2 decades experience in the consumer electronics industry at every organizational level, backed up by a decade of online marketing, copywriting, and content creation work.

His consumer electronics marketing career began after college as a retail sales associate at a large, regional car audio chain. His sales ablility and comprehensive consumer electronics knowledge opened opportunities at the beginning of the residential custom installation industry.

He spent 5 years as a systems designer and installation tech before moving back into sales. As an outside sales rep for a leading regional CE distributor, he was responsible for increasing custom installation sales in his territory 61% in a 12 month period. That experience led to The Stig serving as a business unit director in a high profile, Blackstone Group funded e-commerce start up that raised over $7 million in venture capital from Blackstone and others.

He next served as principal of one of the region’s largest custom installation firms, where he led the advanced solutions team and served as head of marketing. He was instrumental in growing sales to nearly $2m/ yr, before helping engineer its successful sale.

He is a published author, an accomplished content creator, and freelancer, whose byline has appeared in numerous business and consumer publications, blogs, and e-zines. The Stig is a regular contributor to The Search Marketing Standard, Biznik, and Business2Community. He has authored numerous feature articles for national magazines in the consumer electronics and business spaces.

Our Team Stig created and published a Top 30 (as listed in FIRE Finance personal finance blog traffic rankings) personal finance blog, Debt Free, which had a Technorati Blog ranking of under 20,000. He has directed successful affiliate marketing campaigns as both vendor and affiliate, and has been building profitable email marketing campaigns since, well, about the dawn of time.
